Processing Infrastructure
Kernile agricultural base is complemented by Kernile’s advanced processing infrastructure, including a 20,000-square-meter processing facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Peanuts undergo a multi-stage process comprising mechanical cleaning, optical and laser sorting, X-ray inspection, and metal detection to ensure food safety and quality compliance. Kernile’s operations deliver an annual capacity of up to 35,000 metric tons of shelling and 10,000 metric tons of blanching, supported by coordinated processing and logistics activities across Egypt and the Netherlands, enabling consistent quality, traceability, and reliable supply to global markets.
Organic Peanuts
Kernile’s organic peanut strategy was built in response to a clear structural challenge in the global market: certified organic peanut supply is constrained by the limited availability of suitable land for conversion, scarcity of organic seed and inputs, and the absence of a fully developed organic ecosystem (certified farming, handling, processing, and export pathways) in many producing countries.
Recognizing this early, Kernile set a clear vision in 2010 to build a scalable organic program from Africa, combining end-to-end farm management, continuous agronomic support to growers, and controlled post-harvest handling to meet demanding EU customer expectations. Kernile began organic production in 2016, and today is a leading African supplier of organic peanuts to Europe, supported by certified operations and documented organic export pathways across both Kernile Egypt and Kernile Europe subsidiaries in line with EU organic requirements.
Looking ahead, Kernile plans to continue expanding its organic farming and processing capacity with the ambition to become the world’s largest producer of organic peanuts by 2030.
